Debra Pepler, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Research Professor of Psychology at York University and Senior Adjunct Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children. She is a Scientific Board Member of the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Treatment. Her research focuses on aggression and victimization among children and adolescents within the peer and family contexts. She consults to and conducts research on four programs and leads a national network, PREVNet (Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence). Dr. Pepler has been honoured for her research with numerous awards including the Contribution to Knowledge Award from the Psychology Foundation of Canada, the CPA Award for Distinguished Contributions to Public or Community Service, and the Humanitarian Award from Queen’s University Alumni Assn.
